Looking for the best way to keep my cargo doors open in the "fully open" (180) position. Needs to be wind proof, kid proof to work for my needs. I have seen some latches but nothing looks like it will work. I even did the Home Depot walk and nothing. Thanks in advance

the barn doors on my trailer came with latches that look like a long T where the head of the T slots into a receiver on the side of my trailer

head here for many options:

They'll open and lock just shy of 270 degrees

Ok those T latches might work. Thank you for the suggestion. Are you not able to rattle the door loose once it's latched? If that's the case they will work. Thanks again

My doors use latches like Hiflyer described. When the weather is nice they are always open and latched because the rear wall in my ct is half screen(always providing a nice breeze).

When I picked up my ct from the dealer he cautioned not to keep them latched in high winds. In my case high winds usually mean bad weather and then the rear gets closed up anyway.

No rattle at all on those latches. Feels like a very solid connection.

I took EMT and drilled a hole in one end then opened my door 180 and at the hinge end put a screw then on the oposite door at the outside I put another screw. I then cut the EMT to fit that distance and drilled another hole in the EMT. Once I put the EMT over the screws that went through the EMT I attached a bunggy from one screw to the other. Do the same on the other side criss crossing the EMT. Holds the door open and with a tarp across the top and front plus a piece around the bottom you have a potty/dressing room.
