Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I don't know anything about this generator (yet - just ordered one) but for $390 I had to give it a try. Generators of this type are usually pricey. Just wanted to pass this along to the board in case someone is looking for a small generator.

For that price I would have given it a try, unfortunately it says sold out already!

I finally got around to digging this thing out of the box and getting it running this afternoon... So far all I've done is fill it with oil (not real easy) and gas and get it running. It's pretty quiet. The remote start works well. The little wheels that come with it are better suited for a Tinker Toy. I'll hook up load(s) to it tomorrow and see what it'll run and report back results.

They have them on eBay for $529 shipped.

One review on Amazon "I bought the 2800w generator a year or so ago, it ran great for the first 4 months then the ethanol gas started eating the 2 rubber diaphrams in the fuel pump before I learned ethanol in gas will destroy small engines, there are no replacement fuel pumps or diaphram's any where in our area north of Atlanta GA, I also can not find any where to find replacement parts so I can buy a replacement fuel pump, the dealer should make it easy for people to buy parts.

Country of origin appears to be either Malaysia or China and from experience with a Chinese made generator, replacement parts are difficult to impossible to come by. I was lucky and had a very good small engine mechanic who was able to use a non-proprietary capacitor as a replacement.

Don't waste your money with that piece of garbage, It might run now but it will not last and with the money you spent of $390.00 you will spend more money on repairs. Just do it right and buy a good one like Honda from the start or Yamaha and not some off brand piece of garbage. It will not last and will leave you stranded out there with no power. And that is not quiet. If you fire up a Honda or Yamaha you will be shocked on the sound level.

In repairs....if you can find the parts or person to actually service it. That's a throw away price point.
