Axles - Straight v Drop

Postby wtcreaux » Thu Jan 03, 2013 5:42 pm

Am ordering a 7x18 v-nose to double as a mobile clinic........My question (amongst many) is drop axle v straight axle. Though I am not currently planning on off-road use, I will be using the trailer as a camp trailer also.

Suggestions??? Pros??? Cons??? (I'm just not that familiar with drop axles........)

Thanks
Will

Hi Will

EASY answer

drop axel = 3- 4" less ground clearance, if your street or driveway has a steep ramp TROUBLE is coming :D :D

good news when your 85 - its much easier to climb inside

Ok ready for next question ?

Or go with a Flexride http://www.ucfamerica.com/flexiride.html which is adjustable, The Dexter is not.
