Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I got a 7x16 freedom V nose trailer to move our household goods and motorcycles to South Carolina where I will be going back to school. My end goal is to have a toy hauler the wife and I can use to go to motorcycle cycle rallies or camping trips. I want to be able to haul two bikes. Possibly a third if my dad goes with us.

I plan insulting the walls and roof and installing a roof mounted AC. I'm thinking about a fold up bed of some kind. Possibly a window and definitly lighting. I've already insulated the ramp since I am putting the garage floor coating down (the 2nd coat is drying right now).

I've learned a lot from this website and am excited about building this. Thank you to everyone who has already posted so much info.

Insulation



The floor I used seal krete brand primer and epoxy coating. Lowes colored the coating for me. I wanted a blueish grey. It turned out more blue but my wife likes it so that's one in the win column. I used one coat of primer and two coats of the epoxy allowing 4hrs between coats to dry. I mixed in more of the traction material for the 2nd coat on the ramp (it was like fine sand) . It cost me about $100 total including the rollers, pan, tape, ect...




I like how it looks, now to see if it holds up.
I forgot to mention we'll be using the trailer as a garage to store our bikes in while we live in an apartment. So that was my deciding factor for the epoxy coating

So far the epoxy has worked for me. No peeling at all. Any cracks that are in the wood has come thru. I am planning on a second coat after I finish everything else.
