Ok, so maybe this should be trips, pics, highway tales, but I got to thinking about how useful the Cargo Trailer Conversion was and thought it would be interesting to see how others used theirs and/or where they went.

I'll start...


Boondocking near Dayton, TN


Camping at friends to attend Trans Am Nationals, Dayton, OH (and visited US Air Force Museum)


Day trip to kayak the Hiwassee River- Reliance, TN


Camping at Tallulah Gorge State Park- NE GA


Day trip kayaking Cartecay River- Ellijay, GA


Kayaking the Okefenokee Swamp- Folkston, GA


Camping at Salacoa Creek Park- Calhoun, GA

Add to that, several local day trips to kayak at Terrapin Creek, AL- Big Cedar Creek, GA- moving furniture- even hosting a cookout at the office.

Thanks to all here for your inspiration, as we're having a blast, and the trip planning always seems to build around what the trailer will haul and who wants to go with us because can always make room for stuff in the trailer.

I slept in it in the firehouse garage cuz my house got flooded (top and bottom floor) with water from a split hose that goes to the ice machine.
It is going to be on the road in a few weeks when Dean and I go to the Jefferson State Gathering for a Summer Solstice viewing.

Spent a couple of days at WP Franklin locks in early May.



Then we spent three days over Memorial day weekend at Ridge Live Steamers
(No picture of the camper setup, just my son riding on one of the steamers)

Spent a week in falls lake, nc. Just outside Raleigh. The Hoosier spring gathering and a weekend just goofing off a brown county state park...

Good camping year so far!

These are my "local" hang-outs. And no, I don't have 3 trucks. The red one is my old reliable (140K mi.) The gray one was traded-in on the newer white one ("Wife's truck").

Hi Gang,
Soaking up the sun in the Sonoran Desert, southern Arizona, time to go higher now, getting a little warm.
My 6X12 Haulmark, I am a retired fulltime camper.

While not really camping, here is the trip I took to get the trailer
the lower route was to get the trailer,
the norther route was to bring it back.

So I hope this counts

Went camping and fly fishing with my brother and friends at Billy Shaw Lake on the Owyhee Indian Reservation in Nevada. Hauled my KLR down in the trailer as well. A good time was had by all. Except the fish. The fish didn't enjoy it so much...

One month of vacation, 2000+ miles of traveling and boondock camping (29 nights of sleeping in the trailer) through the southern, central and mid-west coast of my home province of BC Canada. Of that 2000+ miles, just over 500 were off-road including a trip down/up the infamous long and steep - Heckman Pass and other Forest Service Roads that were on a scale of all weather access to "what the hell am I doing on this road..."

Truck and trailer preformed great considering the abuse I put them both through. The trailer lost (due to vibration) one carriage bolt and nut from the back door and 2 trim screw of which all of these were minor.

Walked past it in the garage a few times. Also stood on the tongue while I checked the circuit breakers on the wall behind it.

I slept in mine for the first time! Oh, and I hung curtains, apparently the misses feels weird sleeping with windows uncovered.

Camped at Crescent City, CA last week on the warmest days of the year there (82*).

The wife and I just spent 10 days at Clear Lake State Park with out trailer. First long stay in the trailer. Everything went perfect. We are happy with the the entire trailer and how I built it. Nothing is going to be changed.
