Jerry,

I promise you I will post when I start mine. You along with a ton of other contributors have given me some great ideas. My problem is that it seems I over analyze everything and I am struggling hard to pick the right 6x12. Some of what I thought were the top of the line trailers seem to be distributed in distance states away from Southern Virginia. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance to get one, but I want it to be that perfect choice for what I want out of it. As soon as my grandkids/grandparent duties go away soon (means they go home after spending some vacation time with us) I think I will set up some 2-3 day travel plans to check more of the trailers out.

To you and all the other contributors, please keep your postings going as strong as they are now. I as one newbie really enjoy and appreciate them.

Bob

The most special thing about my trailer is that it's 65 years old, only one year younger then I am, it's still on the road, and it's still in better shape than I am :D

Thanks Jerry,
Yes, Cargo Mate is on my list. I have contacted the factory to find that the nearest dealer to me is about 4 hours away in WV. But I plan on making a trip there over the next 3-5 weeks.

Opps Jerry, I just noticed you said Car Mate and I was thinking Cargo Mate. I guess I need to go back and check out your suggestion.

Click here to find your nearest dealer

You can order exactly what you want - delivered to the dealer
May take 4-8 weeks, but well worth it
They really are #1 quality , but not the cheapest like the GA builders
I drove 6,000 miles to get mine from them.

1) No toilet, so it never smells.
2) No inside kitchen, so it never smells.
3) Fake flowers, so it never smells of anything but wood, which there is lots of.

As of now I hope to be finishing (HA! That'll never really happen) in Aug/Sept.
1: I built it.
2: It will meet our needs.
3: It's paid for.
4: I will have less than $4000 invested in it!

It's paid for, it looks good, and it's my little secure place in the world. It's like the little play house that I always wanted and never had.

It has also taught me that I can do better with a lot less clutter in my life. Goodwill is really benefiting from my de-cluttering of my house.
