Has anyone installed an inside shower on a 6x12? Would like some help, plans, pictures, source of parts, etc.

I have not got mine installed yet but have all the parts. I'm using a horse trough from Tractor Supply. The only plumbing will be a drain through the floor. I found a shower wand on Amazon with a faucet adapter and push button on-off that I'll hook up when needed. The horse trough will also hold my chem toilet.

Jim,
I am interested in your idea with a Tractor Supply horse trough. I went looking there (TS site) and did not see anything I thought you might be using.
Would you mind sending the link to the particular model you are using.
Thanks,
Bob

I almost put one in mine, what I was planning on doing was adding a shower base and mounting a tank under the trailer like RV's to catch the water. For the actual shower part I was going to buy one of those "outdoor" shower setups for RV's and use a 12v pump sucking from some prewarmed water off a camp stove. In the end I decided against it because I mostly camp at State Parks that have shower houses and I figured if I wasn't at one I could probably get away with using a regular camp shower and a "changing/shower" tent and save some room in the trailer.

My first shower I made the base using tile and that didn't work would not drain, so I bought a shower pan off ebay for about 100.00 and it works ok still doesn't drain like I would like.
I was thinking about how I could make a homemade holding tank for the gray water and I thought about buying a large 55gal plastic drum and cutting it down or a large plastic garbage can ,and then putting the shower pan on top of that.
I was going to let the water run out on the ground now I wanted a the holding tank and I decided not to put the shower on top of the tank so I decided under the trailer was better, I found out that the frame and the drain hole was almost on top of one another.
So I bought the only thing that would fit was a plastic battery box and put a valve in it so I catch the water if I need to and then let it out when I wanted.
Although it's small I think it will hold several showers if I want to hold the water, for now if I am camped where it doesn't matter I leave the valve open.
I have a week long camping trip coming up and I will be on pavement and the rules say you can't have gray water run out on the ground so I am going to see how this works.
I also bought a large plastic container that is made for those that change the oil in there cars at walmart for 7.00 and it works great just side it under the drain and it works perfect.

I have given the whole shower thing a lot of thought too. I even framed in a wet bath in my trailer. They make a really cool toilet / shower pan combo unit. Have a look at this thread. This would be ideal but just not sure I want it to be permanent.
viewtopic.php?t=52766&p=968420I read somewhere on this place that somebody was using a mixing tub for concrete like you can find at home improvement stores like this.

Holds 20 gallons and could be pumped out or a drain cut in it. Shower curtain on a hula hoop and you could use it inside or outside.
For a holding tank I was planning on using one of those portable waste water tote tanks like this:

This way nothing is permanent and can be used if needed and left at home if not needed,

I like the washer pans. They seem workable and much lower costs than a shower pan which is at least $100+.

My shower in my 6 x 10 is sort of partway inside... in the open doorway.

Glenlivet, your shower set up is giving me some new ideas to consider. I am constantly changing my mind on how to built (or not) a shower inside the CT. I can do this as I have not purchased my trailer yet and changes are free at this stage. But again, your method has me thinking of a new idea. Isn't this forum great?

I do have a shower in my 6X12. I don't have my permanent or finished version in yet, but I hope to get to it this winter. You can see it and what I plan for my finished shower on pages 2 and 3 of the following post.
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=55219&start=15Currently I am using the Home Depot medium mixing tub, shower curtains, and a Coleman on Demand water heater with the accessory shower head. For my hot water I have extended the shower hose on a Coleman Hot water on demand system so it can sit just outside the door, or next to a vent fan on the other side of the shower area. The modifications to the shower hose includes a bypass such as Jamie Franks did in his youtube video.
