installing door window in wall?

I am looking to add a window in my wall more so for light than ventilation.
The costs of windows that open seem high for me. So I was looking at a solid window like one that goes in a door. Is there any reason that it can't be used in a side wall? Is there any precautions to be aware of?

I don't see any reason why you couldn't. Have you looked at mobile home bathroom windows?

If I do not order a RV door with window factory window installed, I will add a window to the door myself.
I will probably search Ebay for the best deal such as on this link.

I decided to get a 14x16 window that could open. I believe the supplier was Vintek. It worked out well for me to not have to cut a wall structural member.

I think that's the size I installed; a good size for ventilation / privacy; check my pic to see what it might look like; I can remember the exact measurements now.

The windows in our doors are fixed but we have two large windows that can be opened giving plenty of light and ventilation, they get used a lot!
