I have an extended tongue with 2 propane tanks on it and a battery. Where else have you installed a spare tire

Don't know what your trailer looks like, but some bolt the spare through the floor behind the axle.

We don't carry a spare. A couple of pressure packs of goop is it.

Sometimes a pack of goop isn't enough....

Just a little out of the ordinary: between the cabin (one bolt thru a centering device to the cabin wall),97624 resting on the single beam tongue (the weight is centered on it, not even touching the non-structural outriggers-just acting as load stabilizers), behind the locking/slide mounted tonguebox. The spare (still locked to the tongue) 106343 is further protected by the tonguebox, which must be moved forward to access the spare. Double security. I needed a larger box, but needed to keep the spare where it was, so I retro-engineered this sliding system. May not be for everyone though, but I like to do one-offs.114353114352114351114350114349114026

Mine is mounted on the underside of the tongue below the generator and storage box.

Mine is too.

When I first started building I picked axle hubs that would allow use of the spare tire if the tow vehicle (Honda CR-V). Then I totaled the Honda in an accident. The replacement vehicle is a pickup so I bought a spare and throw it in the truck when camping.

I went to the junk yard and picked up a small (donut) and it rides in my trunk of my beetle.

Don't have one, bought an adapter for the TV spare.

Not sure if you have enough room, but mine is mounted to the front wall frame, like so:

I not sure where I will mount mine. Top three contenders are: 1. Somewhere up front, 2. Under bunk or something like that or 3. Built-in underfloor box.

I am anxious to see who has built an "under floor" storage.

Location should be determined by three things: ease of access, space available, and weight balance effect. I chose the front wall/tongue mount location because it is easy to reach (and to see) under all conditions. An under trailer, or in the TV trunk location may be hard or impossible to get out easily, and not quickly as desired. If the spare is small, it can be put in many places (inside or outside the trailer), but if a 14-15" (or an off-road "huge" tire), then where else can you fit it? Under the tongue, or anywhere under my trailer, would compromise ground clearance. Before I settled on the front location (where the tire's weight is supported by the single-beam tongue, not the wall), I calculated weight balance effects if mounted in various other spots. Front mount worked best for me. If I had had the aluminum tonguebox prior to mounting the spare, I might've mounted the spare on the front slope of the roof, instead. Or not.114353
