Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

This trailer intrigues me and might be able to be bought right as it is set-up currently for a single use, unless.....................I could make this work as a tiny camper. As the picture shows this huge opening for concessions and a rear 32" door. The 32" rear door I actually like........How do I make this huge opening in the side work for me? Any ideas? The trailer is 6 x 12 with an additional 6" of height. Thanks for your help.

Don't know why you couldn't find a big piece of Plexiglas and make a window,
I have 30ft toyhauler and it has really big windows in it that I like a lot, if I were to build another trailer I would have the factory put in the largest windows they have.

If it is long enough, use it as the roof in a hard-sided bed bump-out,
like this extremely interesting 1960s-1970s Australian TTT, The Expandavan.

If it is not long enough lengthwise, you could still do the same for a
bed oriented perpendicularly to the wall, and no doubt have at least a
queen sized bed that'd only project a short ways into the CT body, as most
of it would be in the bed expansion. It's like it was destined to be done ! Ha !

Or just set up however you want and ignore the side panel for now. Put a screen in and use the side panel as extra large window/ventilation. It would also work well as a kitchen pass through, or has been said a fold out kids bed area.

6X12 with extra height is a nice size. Check around on prices. I wouldn't pay extra for the side opening unless it is really important to you. In some ways it limits you, because you can't put a door in the side. Also is harder to resell as a cargo trailer with only the rv door in the back.

This forum never ceases to amaze me. Clever ideas.....I love the slide out pull out feature idea. How do you engineer this so that it wont sag without exterior supports? Thanks for your ideas and keep them coming if there are more.

I have not looked at this trailer personally, based on the picture and being a 12' trailer how wide do you think the window opening is?

My first thought with looking at that, is use that big opening for a large TV, or outdoor kitchen. Just really all depends on how extreme of a camper you are wanting to build. If you're not using it to haul, the back door could be your entry….would be a lot easier laying everything out inside without having to keep the side door and ramp in mind.

Oh man, you could make an incredible fold/slide-out galley with that. Better buy it quick before I do!

In transit, it could over the bed, then it slides out for outdoor cooking upon arrival. Definitely would need some outboard supports, the wall isn't going to support a lot of cantilevered weight.

I saw a trailer very similar to this made by United Trailers at a track day recently with a pop-out on one side and awning on the other, A/C, electric service, sparsely finished interior. The owner said it was about $9k altogether.
