Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

I have a 14X7 Cargo Mate cargo trailer. The first rain after I bought the trailer, the roof leaked, I call the dealer and so after, the manufacture call me and I explained the issue, the manufacture was very helpful and sent me several tubes of the below. I used the below and that fixed the leak. Over the two years I have had the trailer, it has leaked, with using the below to correct same. I have used all the tubes up. Now I have another leak.

The roof of the trailer is flat, and the leaks must be coming from the seams where the side walls met the flat roof.

My question is should I order more of the below, or have you'all found something better to stop leaks.

I really like SikaFlex. It's super sticky (and messy if you goof up), bonds strongly to just about anything, and it's very flexible yet very tough. They also have a construction adhesive that is equally great.

Oddly they are not sold in the caulk/adhesive aisle at Home Depot, rather they are found next to the concrete and masonry supplies.

You might have to remove the old caulk and start over? Seems like a new trailer should not have these problems.

That is the one reason I have always stayed away from flat roofed trailers even though I think they look better. Just seemed like trouble waiting to happen. I use the self leveling stuff from the RV dealerships and It is really tough once it has cured and should last almost forever with proper application. I can't see your pic well enough to tell if what you have is similar or not. I have put many holes in my roof over the last 6 years adding stuff and not one leak yet. (Knocking on wood as I type this)

From what it sounds like this has been an ongoing problem. One that Tube Sealant hasn't been able to fix!

Theres a product called Liquid Rubber/Liquid Roof. It IS EPDM Rubber.

I've used it for years and believe me....Its Final!

Just clean the roof, wipe the joints with thinner and paint it on.

They have a great Tech Support that speaks to you in plain English.

I had a customer come in the other day with a Horse trailer whose roof I did in about 2000. The stuff still looks great and no leaks.

BTW, Stay away from Kool Seal. Its nothing more than thick Paint.

Spray foam the bare metal from the inside.

Worked on my roof leak where the solar panel wires went through the roof. No caulk did.

So Prem,
Would you suggest that one add the solar leads and then seal the ceiling with foam before one adds insulation and ceiling even if one is not to add the solar panels until much later in the process ( because of budget issues). If yes, then one needs to do the necessary and adequate planning well in advance for this addition.
