I'm curious what the spray foam cost you?
Looks great.

berecler,
Boy have you done a lot of work. You have some unique construction ideas there. Nice work. I for one would like to see more of your pictures as you go along. I priced spray foam for me and thought it was too high. But your photos make me want to take another look at it.

Can I ask how you managed to get the closed cell spray foam trimmed so smooth?

It was a while back, but I think for a 6x12 it was around $500 - $700 (My memory is really rusty about this). I think I got it over the phone. Anyway, I thought it was way too high versus using blue board. But I now think I better show up in person with photos and such and go for there. I sure like the work done here.

Hey all,
Spray foam was $900, not cheap by any means, but for me it was the added protection and structural support it provides. The $900 included the spraying of closed cell foam and the trim work. The company I had do it used a large roller/grinder to butt up to the studs and give it a smooth finish along with a normal hand held grinder with a metal brush.

I also spent around a $1,000 but ended up with 3" Dow blue board
However it was also a hell of a lot of work.
Did you do anything for the doors ?

No, doors, windows and the actual slide out will be the weaknesses. We probably won't plan on camping much past October here in the PNW. The doors are Styrofoam cores and we plan on getting thick backed window treatments, and I would assume the slide has some sort of Styrofoam core also. May have to evaluate them after a few cold nights.

Another Spokanite here. I'm doing something similar on a smaller scale (7x16"), using a donated truck camper guts. Like others said, wow, your progress is amazing. I'll be looking for your build out on streets of Spokane

edit: I'm guessing you have some background in the building and construction industry. Based on your photos anyway, your work looks pro.

Outstanding!!!!!!! A lot of work, but you know that it will last now....Used trailer + new cargo + extra put in can't be much off a new cookie cutter chinsy built tag along. I am in the same process.....certainly not to the same degree, but I have always enjoyed "recycling."
