I haven't been here in awhile, but it's time to do a little work on my trailer..I used 1/4in luan plywood on the ceiling of the trailer..I've had a problem several times with the panels popping loose during use at the seams..I'm guessing it's just from the flexing of the trailer..Has anyone used carpet of any kind to cover the ceiling to stop this from happening??I have styrofoam in the ceiling for insulation and I'm thinking it will be ok for holding everything in place..Any thoughts or ideas on this will be greatly appreciated...Thank for your time.

There's at least one recent build with carpet. I just don't recall which one off hand.

Google hull liner
looks like indoor/outdoor carpet but w/o the heavy rubber backing.
Use contact cement. 3M fastbond 30NF is great for inside on the trailer walls. Not flammable and virtually no odor. On the hull liner back use spray on contact cement, applied outside.

I have noticed the same phenomenon on my trailer. I am using cheap press board paneling from Home Depot on my ceiling. In the winter, the trailer seems to contract and the press board paneling Warps and buckles. However, when it warms back up, it smooths out again. Not ideal but it works.

Mine is covered in fleece glued on with 3M77. Held great for 7 years now. All the screws have the little decorative washer (forget their name) and I put a thin strip of fabric covered wood over the seams.

I have built walls and carpeted a lot of vans in the past, and the easiest method is to carpet the panels before I put them in place. Much easier than trying to glue carpet to a ceiling...IMHO.
