New here and just starting my build. 7 x 14 v nose for hauling the bike as well as camping in. I want to mount a vent and a TV antenna through the roof. What is everyone using for roof Sealant on these types of penetrations?
Thanks
Bob

Polyurethane sealant is better then silicone. Most of the time pull silicone back off but not with polyurethane. But is harder to work with. Polyurethane sticks to thing better (fingers tools etc)and stays stuck.
Just my thoughts!!

When I had our 5th wheel, I used Dicor calk and coating. For my money, it is the best product available. Stay away from silicon as it will peel up and will not make a lasting seal. Diicor is what the pro's use. It is self leveling and as long as you apply it to a clean surface, it will not come up. I also bought a 1 gallon can of Dicor metal roof sealer to paint the roof of my V nose trailer I'm building now into a camper. When I get everything done on top, which is just changing out the factory vent to a Fantastic Fan vent, I will paint the roof with it. It will ensure against any leaks. Check out the link for a video. I don't work for them, I just have used it and would not use anything else.

---for caulking joints use Sikaflex-221 white or black, over the top of the vent flanges use Dicor self leveling adhesive.
