I've been a member for a few years and posted a few times. I have read many of the posts saving the ideas and innovations away for my eventual build. Since we have Arctic Cat ATV's and an Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 SxS the new trailer gets the name "The Cat House". I had posted the question "ramp door vs. barn doors" and have decided to go with the ramp door option. I thought I would post up details of the newly ordered trailer.

Cargo Craft 7x24
3' V nose wedge style
added 12" for a 7' interior
.030 Charcoal Gray
60" extended triple tube tongue
ramp door with extension flap
36" RV door with slider window
RV screen door
13500btu AC with heat strips in the center vent hole
2 added vents, one in front V, one 5' off ramp door
5 alloy wheels with radial tires
5200lb axles, both with brakes, straight for added room under the trailer
6" tubing frame on 16" centers
Walls and ceiling tube frame on 16" centers
All LED exterior lighting
Added LED back up lights
Its a 6 week delivery for the trailer.

Ultimately this will become a true toy hauler/camper with a front bathroom and kitchen area leaving as much open floor as possible but will be done over the next year or more. Plans will be slow going this year as I need to just get it ready to make a haul out to Moab and then Colorado from Georgia in September. Tie downs will be my first priority as we are not using it for camping during the Moab and Colorado trip. Hope to share many pictures of my build in the coming year or so.

Sounds really good. Besides putting in your tie-downs, it might be good to coat the floor as one of the first things. A son in law was in a hurry and didn't do that before using their CT and an oil container leaked. Really messed up a section of the floor.

Trailer comes standard with a gray non-slip painted floor, but thanks for the heads up.

Finally got to bring the trailer home yesterday. There was a snafu last Friday when I went to pick up the trailer. The door and front vent was not installed in the correct location. They had to remove the side and re-roof it to move the two items. Pretty impressed so far with the build quality as I went through a severe long distance rain storm coming home and when I stopped at a rest stop it was bone dry inside. I guess quality will show when I remove the walls for insulation. I did go a little bigger than originally posted, its a 26ft plus 3ft V. Lots of plans for the next year or so.ImageImageImage

Finally got to start on my toy hauler conversion over the last weekend. The UPS guy is gonna be tired of delivering parts.

Jacks are on.

Started framing the front wall.

Installed the water inlet and the 30 Amp receptacle.

Got the wall framed, some bead board installed, power panel installed and the refrigerator set in.

Eventually the sink will go on the left part of the counter and the 2 burner stove will go on the right. The space left below the stove will become a drawer just above the refrigerator.

Installing the steps and more wiring are on the agenda for this weekend.

Phew, that is some trailer! I don't think I've seen a 24' in a 7' width. Makes my 16' look small!

I can just imagine the fun you are having putting that together!

Thanks for the pics. I'll be watching with interest.

Haven't had much time to work on the trailer lately so not much to report. Did get a few things done and have ordered the black tank and toilet. Should be framing the bathroom soon.
