Hello, I am in the process of building my handicapped cargo camper. But I have a question about the ramp door. I want to know what everyone else has used for the ramp door over the wood. I am going to roller my daughter's wheelchair up the ramp door, and I am looking for a product that is water proof and has good traction to walk up as she is rolled up. I was thinking about the bedliner DIY. I really would love to find the toy hauler black material. Any other suggestions? thanks

How about the paint type products used on decks such as Restore? They can protect the plywood and also provide a rough (less slick) surface for the wheelchair.

That would work, giving similar results. There is also another additive that the paint stores carry in lieu of sand. I have used that before on my dock.

I used Behr's Deck Over on mine to start and see how it works out. I wanted something textured so that if I have muddy boots from hunting or riding ATV's I'm less liable to slip, it'll also help when I'm pulling the 850 pound Roadking up in there. So far its working out good. BTW, the thicker the nap on the roller the more texture you get.

A friend of mine used Rustoleum Epoxyshield on his garage floor with paint flakes. You might check it out.
