Wet bath surface?

Getting ready to frame up my bath in my conversion and want some opinions. Its going to be a wet bath due to space with an RV toilet and a standard shower head. The black tank will be framed in and placed above the floor due to the tongue framing below. So the toilet is kinda of on a platform with the shower drain placed on the original floor. So here is the question. Any body had experience with LineX used in this application? Was gonna do my own fiberglass work and make it all seamless. Been reading up on LineX and it looks like a better option, especially from the labor and mess side of it. Their website says bonds to wood and has been used on boat hulls inside and out.

The texture of Line-X and other spray liners seems like it would be hard to keep clean in a bathroom situation. Gel-coated fiberglass has the advantage of being smooth and non-porous. In my shower I used FRP board which is also relatively smooth and non-porous. But I didn't have to do any custom shaping like it sounds like you do.

I talked to the local Line X dealer at length yesterday. Says it bonds to wood extremely well, maybe better than metal, and would be completely waterproof. They said they can match or custom blend any color I want as long as it doesn't have a pearl or 3 part paint. Says they would do a 2 part coating so it won't be very rough or porous and would have a shine to it. Cleaning it is my biggest concern with the texture. He is very interested in looking at it when I get to that point. If it's not doable, then at least it will be prepped and smooth so I could proceed with the original fiberglass plan.

Post pictures when you're done. If Line-X works out for you, I'm sure a lot of CTC owners will consider the same.
