I am thinking about doing this to a trailer. Just trying to find out if anyone's done and problems reinforcement they had to do.

I had thought about doing that at one point. I'd think as long as a steel frame made with the 1" square tubing was welded in, it would be fine.

I ended up not doing the pop out bed and did the loft bed since I plan on taking this into grizzly country and up into Alaska someday and my understanding is that they only let you stay in some parks with hard sides. Also cannot deploy when urban boondocking at Walmart or etc..

Those are a really nice idea and otherwise I would have done that.

I too thought about this. But then I remembered how loud canvas is when it's raining. The clincher for me
is the loss of security. Red squirrels have no problem getting in.
