POS quality, would likely fail a roadworthy over there.

Better off saving a grand just buy the bare under chassis, reinforce it put a foamie on top.

The ordinary bolt together trailers are available here ($949 for rigid 8 x 5, pass roadworthy too) but not these.

What's not available here, and I've searched endlessly, is 8 x 4 extruded polystyrene foam sheets.

Some folks here (USA), will throw their nose out of joint at any products from
Northern Tool or any of the other "mail order" tool companies. They also figure
that Crocodile Dundee's back yard is what ALL of Oz is like

Do you know anyone that has one of those trailers "down unda"? Perhaps you
could contact the Carry On trailers folks and ask who makes it for them or just
ask about frame material thickness. Here's a link;

I agree! I just wrote them and asked. I'm just that kind of curious.

Just because they had a good marketing plan, got into Northern Tool, Lowes, Tractor Supply (to name a few), does not mean they're junk.

Well personally I only buy stuff from Harbor Freight or Northern Tools if I won't be using it much and won't care if it falls apart.

Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised, but it's rare.

Consumers care so much about low price, 99.99% of the time, when a cheap Chinese maker builds to that preferred price point, you're not going to get a quality product to last for decades.

By taking the approach I suggest, the under chassis can easily be replaced later on, just shift your living pod over to the new one.

Issue here is that without further research, you shot it down. I took the extra effort and reached out to find what the steel thickness is. I will not not make a statement based upon from whom it is sold until I know. I do suggest, before posting, a little effort of research should happen (even if not asked).

In marketing a product, of which I'm familiar, you go for exposure so folks see what you have to offer. It doesn't necessarily mean it's crap... it's exposure.

As with most things, you probably get what you pay for. If you are lucky. Quality vs. Price it's Ok. but at 4 1/2 feet tall.... my back couldn't take it.

It stands to reason that the Chinese are not making the trailers and shipping them over here. It would be an American
manufacturer and if you used any kind of thought process you might have realized it on your own. Read the info on their

Marketing is geared for folks to make informed decisions about products, granted with a bias built in, but

All I can say is that good enough is good enough sometimes. I always decide on the quality/price point based on how much I plan to use something, or how critical it is to safety. Don't go cheap on a Scuba Diving Regulator or a trailer brake controller for instance. May be able to cut some corners on how you decide to put a floor in your CTC or what brand Solar Controller you buy if you are trying to save a few bucks to spend elsewhere or that is all you have and need something. Just sayin.

That's what got me - that is a lot of stuff for less than $2000 in ~ 5 x 8.
The measurements suggest you'd fit not a 4 foot caravan double, but a real a 4 ft 6 inch full height innerspring mattress and still have ample head room.

Must be an Aussie/Kiwi thing. Very common expression down here. if it's the "Duck's Nuts" it is very good. There is even a brand of trail mix called the "Duck's Nuts" sold at the supermarkets.
As for the height, it'd be slightly better than a standard TD?
