Your use of insulation and lighter interior ply is an excellent choice. Did you insulate the floor?

Your updates show that your investment in time and money is rewarding you well.

thank you! haven't insulated the floor yet, i will most likely do the same as i did with my 5x8, install that 1/2" interlocking foam matting, nice and warm on the feet.

been a while since i’ve updaded, so far i’ve....

- 4” of med density foam with 2” gelfoam topper,
- bought a 1,000 watt generator/inverter (19lbs) that runs the 5,200 btu a/c that i vented through the floor,
- installed digital tv antennae attached to side door lock bar to make easy to reach out and aim,
- made up screw jacks that i can move around depending on terrain,
- installed keder (awning rail) on 3 sides so i can hang tarps,
-bought 2 more vertical windows for 2 of the doors,
- installed reading lights over the bed and put up strip lights,
- building ‘dashboard’ power center

Looking good. The generator is interesting. Never saw an inverter generator that small. If it runs your AC well, that is perfect.

I like the jack idea. Do you just move it to each corner and crank it up then put down the stabilizers to hold up? I suppose the trailer is light enough for that?

My CTC is too big for that, but the way I do it is drop the nose with the tongue jack, deploy the rear stabilizers to wherever the reach, then level the nose and put down front stabilizers. It then puts the weight on the stabilizers and off the wheel suspension so the trailer does not move. It doesn't do the side to side leveling which is what yours set is up is doing.. correct? I have to use the drive on block to level side to side before I do front to back.

Going to have some fun camping this summer!

the stab jacks were the first thing i installed and work well on level ground, the screw jacks were the long term plan so i waited until they were on sale and bought 4 of them, 2 for the rear and 2 for the tongue, i still have to install 1 more on the tongue to balance it out better. most of our camping is on crown land so it can be pretty uneven that’s why the rear jacks are moveable/removable. the rear jacks can also lift the trailer to change a tire or bearing....

EDIT: with weight being an issue i can leave some of the jacks at home if we camp at a camp ground

Very nice! First I've seen that. Like the idea for changing flat or bearing. I may borrow your idea for my 6*12 I am building. Would just do a quick connect for one jack either side of rear fender for side to side leveling or changing tire.
