Don, I found these two different size batteries... 302 ah vs 280 ah..... am I missing something on the pricing? They are 24 cents difference for four 3.2v batteries if I am reading descriptions correctly. The 302 appears to be a pack of four where the 280 I would buy four individuals. Are these similar to what you purchased? I figure 604ah for price of 560ah not bad if I am not missing something.

I think the 302s are 280s that tested well to the higher capacity. I capacity tested my 280s to 280ah and shut down test. They had more in them but I chose not to keep testing. Probably why they sell them as a set of four also.

I will take a look. If they are the same dimensions and weight as the 280s, I suspect they just were uprated.

Looks like they are the same weight. I think they are the same batteries. All in the testing. The 280aH is a minimum per the spec.

As I said, mine tested to 280aH and had more in the when I shut it down.

Thanks Don. Out of curiosity, on your purchase, were there any import taxes or duty fees since they were from China?

All of the duties and etc. are in the shipping price Alibaba will quote you. They take care of all the details to get it to your front door. I believe I paid $130 shipping for the 230aH Batteries which were $69 for each 3.2V cell. The 280aH was similar.

Good afternoon everyone,
I need to install an RV side door handle to assist in folks getting in and out safely. I would like to use something similar to what is already on the ramp door just to keep the look consistent on the trailer. This is similar to what I have on ramp door:

I see a lot of this kind on RV's but it looks like it could be awkward to use; mostly concerned if it doesn't lock in place good and causes individual to fall:

Any ideas/thoughts/opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

foxontherun, Howdy;

Why limit yourself? Try some of the Handicapped Grab Bars;

May need to beef up the wall where you install it, just another consideration.

I put one of these on my CTC. I would not do it again. Ergonomics is bad for me given it is so far out when deployed. Looks nice.. works not so nice.

This is the one we installed on our CTC for that very reason, it is a nice distance away from the trailer body: https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-an ... H-150.html

Good evening everyone! Happy thanksgiving! There is a problem with me eating too much....because I can't move to work on trailer so I google how to take the back seat out of my Tundra to see what has died in the truck and I ran across this website:
https://www.tundras.com/threads/komodo- ... rig.16989/.
Scroll way down thread to pictures of some pressure tanks in the back of this cab. Would be a pretty cool setup if you have room in truck and not in your trailer. :thinking:
At the top of the page on the link above there is a table of contents; look in the table of contents for ‘onboard water and air and...’ for details on how he did this.

I am certain we have some folks on this forum that can run with this idea. :thumbsup:
Hope everyone stays safe and has a great holiday weekend! :)

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. I am spending mine redoing some of the AC electrical and the romex I used ended up being about foot short of the panel breaker. Romex prices have gone up considerably around here and in some cases not in stock. However, I do have plenty of stranded wire and thought maybe I could just use it instead but curious about "properly" connecting the stranded to the breaker.

:thinking: I have an Eaton BR120 breaker that I would like to connect to #12 stranded THHN wire; thought maybe use this type pin connector on the wire so the screw on breaker would have something to grab on to. https://www.te.com/usa-en/product-165085-1.html

Would this be acceptable and safe? If not, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Harry

Can you add a connection box 1 foot short of the breaker and just connect to romex? That would save you from re-running the wiring and you would just need a few feet of romex solid wire to finish it.

I wonder if you solder the ends of the stranded if it would be better for the breaker connection? I have not idea, so that might make it worse, but wetting the ends of stranded wire is pretty easy.

I am considering the thought of a junction box next to the panel and running romex into the panel; just hoping to eliminate the junction box if I can. I had read some stuff on electrical forums about those pins I am asking about in this thread. Thought maybe someone on this forum might have some knowledge about them. Thanks for the input.

Harry :)

Makes sense. Those pins are rated for 600v so probably nothing to worry about. Also, most breakers can accept stranded so you can probably just run stranded w/o the pins.
