Both the Hercules and the Bridgestone are truck tires. He is looking for tires for a cargo trailer. Most trailer tires are made in China and are not very reliable. Goodyear Endurance are made in the USA.

what's your thought on the Carlisle Radial Trail HD Trailer Tire. They are on sale about $40 per tire cheaper

* Way back in the last century (1980-2000), I used to use Denman and Carlisle ST tires on my trailers (bias-ply), because they were tough and long-lasting. And made in the USA. This century, with bias-ply ST's rare as hen's teeth locally, I had to get Chinesium ST (bias and radials) on my car-hauler, and used my last set of Carlisle bias-plies way past their useful life (at least 12 years-old when I removed them) on my square-back trailer.

* Though I found some ST trailer tires that were not Chinese may-pops when I bought replacement tires for the small trailer, I chose to use tougher LT truck tires instead...mine are General Grabber AT2's, made in Mexico (with more reliable inspections given them from European & American corporate supervisors, I hear), and their quality surpasses that of any off-shore ST tire, IMHO. * Except for the rotted Chinese ST tires on my "hasn't-been-moved in 13 years car hauler", and the to-be-soon-replaced tires on my wife's "unused since 2014 business trailer", I see that all the other tires on my current car fleet are made in USA. Perhaps someday soon, all the automotive components can be that way, too (I think that my '66 Chevelle drag race car is 95% USA-equipped (racing equipment bought and installed from '94-'07 era is of ??? pedigree), but all the newer vehicles aren't that patriotic.

Thank you for the post. I apologize but at the end of reading your post I wasn't sure if you were "for or against" Carlisle tires. The ones I am looking at are radial.

One more vote for Goodyear Endurance. They have a "N" speed rating for 87mph where most other ST tires are only rated for 65mph.

I used my original set of tires, that came on my Haulmark, for around 15 years. I should have replaced them instead of waiting until one blew out! The blowout, while fully loaded, caused some damage to the fender. I was told by a tire guy that ALL trailer tires are imported including those sold by American companies. But I know from experience on a previous camper that some of the China trailer tires are absolute JUNK. I hope to find a good source for my next tires.

It has been nearly 10 years since I put a set of Triangle ST tires on my 10' utility trailer. I have had no issues with them. They have thousands and thousands of miles on them with a small tractor and more in the trailer. I routinely run 75mph. I even had one lose pressure at 75mph due to a busted stem and while the tire got hot it did not blow out. I did however put it in use as a spare. They also see plenty of dirt/gravel roads. They are rated at 81mph.

I'd buy them again in a second. Widely available.
