New Build - 6*12 Offroad Toy Hauler

Converting Cargo Trailers into TTTs

Drains connected. This is how I did it. I did not put in a vent yet. I am going to put up with some drain gurgling until I decide whether or not I am going to add another tank and RV toilet. I'll vent it then if I decide to put it in, or I'll just vent this tank. If I do vent it, I may l just replace the T Pipe going into the tank with a 4 way and run a pipe to the corner and up the wall and out the roof. Why not cut another hole... right?

The stubbed off Pex is for future expansion.. Thinking I may add diverter valves to put shower straight onto the ground in remote areas. Just need a small ball valve just after the T before the tank (to close) and then another to open on the Pex leg. I will Will hold sink water in case of any food stuff.

Got the FRP cut and laid in. Need to get some more adhesive tomorrow and get it all caulked properly. In anycase, this is what it will look like. I should have the bathroom finished tomorrow then I will start on flooring and get the propane tank mounted and test the water heater and leak check everything one last time. Getting close.

Got most of the caulking and trim in. Only have to build the front plate for shower.

I still have to hang the shower curtain and test the water heater, but I have pressurized the plumbing and tried the shower flow and etc.. Observed no leaks and pressure is good.

Will start flooring tomorrow afternoon. Only have a few more days to get done before the Maiden voyage. I have an appt. to get tags on Wednesday and spare tire should be in Tuesday. Cutting it close.

The camera distorts everything on wide angle but you get the idea. Very hard to see what the eyes see in such a tight spot.

Flooring is in. I need to put D rings and Etrack Bike Chock in the floor now as I pull the bike in for a fit check.

I have a lot of little things to do now like Installing the RV table, making some fold down counter space along the right wall. Also need to secure the fridge, microwave, freshwater tank, build a façade for under the couch so I have storage under there, some LED lighting under the awning, and I also have insulation to install under floor. I was waiting to get all the D-rings in first as I will have plates and bolts underneath I will need access to.

Hopefully I will have this conversion wrapped up by next Friday. That's my goal. Then I start packing.

Really appreciate your updates and the trailer is looking great! You're builds are still a huge inspiration for me. I went to finish roughing-in my shower and found out I was about 1/2" off from my anchor point for the shower pan in the V-nose. At that point I just felt like it was fighting me too much. So I packed it up and moved it back to the storage lot until I was ready to deal with it. Seeing you whip out a very similar shaped shower in no time has given me new motivation to get it started again. Thank you!

Thanks! Good luck with your build. It can be frustrating. I am no craftsman, and I am often disappointed in how I fail to make something perfect. However, caulk and trim make up for alot of my shortcomings. I just do not do it enough to get great at it. I am sure we are not alone. Hang in there.. you can do it..

Woo hoo! I Have hot water! Hot showers are high on my priority list for camping comfort.

It seems to be venting well. Alot of hot air coming out of the stack. Some heat transfered to the inside as I expected. But, plumbing and hot water is working well. Very happy about that. Now I have to mount the propane bottle on the tongue of the trailer.

Stove and hot water work well at the same time. That is good.

Okay.. fabbed a mount from some scraps. I did not want to screw the tank holder into the front of the camper for a few reasons with one being the Camco shell could not be installed.

So I welded on an upright and a base for the tank and screwed in the holder to that.

Don't have time right now to build a toolbox. Maybe an upgrade later. Not a huge priority as I have the whole bed of my truck for storage anyhow and I'd rather load the truck.

The mount feels very solid. The tank does not move at all.

BTW.. I plan on running 12VDC up front from the house battery bank to power the breakaway brake. No need for this box and little battery on the tongue. I have to run the 12VDC from the TV Alternator back to the Renogy DC to DC converter and the reverse light wire to activate rear flood lights. I will do that all at the same time. Probably after the maiden voyage. Running our of time.

Gas bottle makes it officially look like a camper now! Lol

I guess the dump valve does too.

Is still have a piece of trim by the door and the façade for the shower pan to put on, but I got the shower curtain bar in and a few other bathroom accessories.

Here is a picture of the space. Kind of distorted by lens, but you can see the extra space the angled wall adds to the 24inch shower pan. And the shower curtain bar expands out past the 24 inches of the pan and swings back in after use as well. Really opens up the space. I have learned to pit the dispenser and etc. all above Elbow level so I am not whacking them off the wall inadvertently.

The 24 inch pan in the back gives back to the kitchen counter and shelf space and makes that space feel larger and more open as well. Hard to fit a kitchen, entry way and full bathroom with shower in the first 4 ft. of a 6*12 flat nose.

This is how I am holding the Freshwater tank in place. Used some 90 degree aluminum I had for the front to back movement and some light duty surface mount D-rings with a ratchet strap for any bouncing that may occur. I have the tank setting on a rubber mat and cardboard for the straps to ride on. I think this should do it. The pump just has some screws and washers lightly tightened so as not to compress the rubber vibration isolators

I have to say, I am very pleased so far with this Seaflo Pump and Accumulator assembly. With the vibration isolators, you can hardly hear the pump at all. Super quiet. In my 7*18, there are no vibration isolators, and the pump is loud and seems to be amplified by harmonics with the trailer frame.

I am holding the refrigerator to the floor with D-rings and a strap also. All that is hidden under the countertop not to be seen.

flboy, Howdy;

As usual, impressive things you are accomplishing there.  !

suggestion, if you can find one, why not use a split bicycle inner tube as chaffing
material for the water tank and the refrigerator?
