Thanks, good thing the welds will be hidden in the wall. I am learning, but got a long way to go.

Glad you enjoy the videos. Just trying to contribute to the www since I use it so much.

Anyone use these? Overkill? I have a hitch and ball lock, but just felt like this one needs a little more and I found 2 of these on clearance for $45.00. I am going to get some lug nut locks as well, but they'd either have to cut it off or bring two tires that are 6 lug.. I know anything can be cut with these new portable Lithiumn power tools, but it would slow them down or may just be too much effort and easier marks elsewhere?

the look like the would stop most anyone. make sure you install them on the tongue side of the wheel. i could see putting them on the rear and wiping out the fenders when i went to drive away (after i forgot to remove them).

flboy, Howdy;

You do what you feel ya need ta do. Your investment, protect it however you wish.
Was watching the 'news' one night and they showed some low-lifes using a hoist to
lift a trailer off the hitch then drive off with it. Wouldn't go far with those on there.

Yes.. this one being smaller is more of a target in my mind. I will put insurance on it, but never could be compensated for the time I put in to building it.

Was able to squeeze in a little today between events. Did get the left side insulated. Just need to finish right side then put in wires and mount exterior fixtures and finish ceiling before I can button it up.

Outside Temps were 90 degrees and sun lower in sky with some cloud cover. Insulation (ambient 90deg) vs no insulation (radiating 110 deg).

Insulation helps.. even more when paneling goes back up.

Thanks Hank. I am getting a little better. The more I do, the more I improve. Definitely a technique to it.

In full scale production today. Lol

Finished insulation except last layer in ceiling. I will do that tomorrow, but I had to stop and get all the wiring in first. Next I will cut all the inlets for power, water, etc.. then siding goes back up. Alot of work to get done still, but making progress.

flboy, Howdy;

What, if anything, are you doing to insulate the 2 front vertical corners? Same question for the
front top where the roof meets the front wall. I don't think anyone has mentioned that aspect
yet. Just curious, as usual.

Good morning Hank. I have some fiberglass batten for the corners . I need to situate a few wires in there before I put it in. I also have a piece of the insulation for the front top. It is already cut.. just need to finalize some wiring. I will be cutting a lot of holes today for power inlet, water, and a few other exterior items. I think my front jacks arrive today also via FedX and I need them on for stabilization while I am working inside. Those will be installed today if they arrive soon enough.

Here's a video of how I did the insulation. Hope is is helpful to anyone doing it the first time. I am going to endeavor to make short videos as I install each of the major subsystems of the CTC. I have learned a bunch building a few myself and would like to put some back. Next will be the Window installation. I have been filming as I go when I did the framing and will compile when I actually cut the hole and put the windows in.

Jacks came early today. So much more stable with them, especially when the front is on an incline and tongue jack is almost fully extended.

Got a few more little things done today between errands and after the front jacks..

I put the step on which required me to weld in a cross member between two joists. No other way to line it up and bolt it on this time. The welder is coming in handy!

Also put on a swing out handle going in the front door.
