Looks like I gained 6 inches overall. Wow, wasn't expecting that much lift.. maybe 5 inches at most. In any case, now I have to put the SumoSprings on for stability (sway with higher center of gravity) and when these tires need changing, I'll invest in some good all terrain tires.

OK, got the SumoSprings installed. Going on a trip next week, so I will see how all this rides.

Looks like that lift also put the truck and trailer I the same plane as well.

I made a video on how I went about moving my axle from on top of the leaf springs to under the leaf springs and getting 6 inches of lift for under carriage clearance when off-road. I hope it helps someone.

Don,

How much does that tank bulge when it's full of water? Do you need to brace the sides or is it self supporting?

Hi Bruce. It does not seem to bulge much at all when full.

I have two of those round foam " pool noodles" at the back between the tank and cab and if you look, they are bent over the top. Also, my truck bed has a thick rubber mat on the bottom, so I think it is well protected from chaffing and movement.

In any case, if I see any bulging that concerns me, I could cut a few 2*4s to the correct height and put them vertically between the strap in front and the tank. That should contain any bulging well if needed. I may still do that just to be on the conservative side, especially if I know I will be spending a long time on rough trails.

That's a good idea to use the strap around the middle like that, I think I'll copy that for the van.

Thanks for the info,
Bruce

Another upgrade! Had these lights for a while, just took the time to install. I can select many different colors.. I tend to like the blue lights however.

Nice! We camped Friday night in my parents camper and it has some lights under there. Brightens things up

Blue light can keep you awake, you might want to dial it to red before bed time:

I've had a few questions and requests to share how I set up the electrical system in my 6x12 CTC. I made a video about that if you are interested.

Another upgrade I had and just not installed. A screen back door. Goes on with Velcro and magnets keep it closed. Will allow for great ventilation when camping.

The LED in cabinet lighting turned out nice. The White setting actually lights up the space well for slightly over 1 Amp. The colors are slightly less.

White is nice

Blue is good for more populated areas. Hard to see from outside, but good enough to see inside. I can also adjust brightness.

Orange is just cool. Kinda like my KTM'S. LOL
