Cargo Trailer Conversion Rendezvous (CTCR)

The purpose of this thread is to gage interest for a CTCR somewhere in the southeast. I'd like to see what folks think in terms of where (general location like a state) and what time of year (summer fall), and what expectations of the rendezvous would be in terms of duration and etc..

If there is already this type of event, maybe share that as well. I'd personally like to go to one and meet others who like to build and share stories, ideas, and adventures.

Not necessarily volunteering to coordinate, but considering if there is some interest. Not sure how any of it would work at this point.

I am definitely interested..
As Gulfcoast mentioned, a gathering was recently held somewhere in Florida.. search Facebook or YouTube for I ride tiny house adventures…
I am not sure if it is an exclusive club or not.
Excited to see how much interest is generated.

Yes. If you're gauging interest, I'm interested. I have some things going on in my life right now, and I don't know where they're going to take me, but sure.
Summer or fall sounds good. Mama won't do cold. (I don't like it much, either.)
Somewhere with electric hookup would make it easier for those of us who aren't set up to be fully contained.

Looking like we are a party of 5 right now.
Overall the forum seems a little quiet. I expect interest to pick up if some specifics emerge.
My Frankenstein trailer should be finished in about a month at the rate I’m going.
I am a retired old guy and my schedule is fairly flexible.
May 2022 is totally open on my schedule.
I think a three day weekend would be workable for many.
Had a motor home for several years until it started disintegrating, so we have been to numerous campgrounds in Arkansas, but not many in what I would consider southeast US,, ( sounds like FlaBoy’s field of expertise).
I’d love to consider something in Florida (as long as it’s not tooooo far down the state.

Works for me, as long as it isn't tooooo far north. Is, say, the I-4 corridor tooooo far down? I'm not volunteering to organize anything. I'm just trying to keep the idea alive, and maybe define it a little better.
If it turns out I can't make it, I'd still love to read about how it went.

There is a Youtube channel called "I Ride" Tiny House Adventures that films conversions; I have seen several from this campground, neat place to get ideas from. Sounds like a good place to have a meetup.

A CTCR sounds like fun! I'm 3 mos into my build now and already had it out once... This $4 gas is a pain though
