Hello everyone,

A few years ago I shared pictures of my first cargo conversion project (viewtopic.php?f=42&t=72082) It took me 1 1/2 years to build, and I enjoyed every minute of it. So that's why in May '21 I pulled the trigger on an even more challenging project; I bought a new aluminum 28' w/ 3' v-nose trailer with the intention of converting it to another toy hauler/camper - this time with more amenities and capability. I'm a few months from completion and I thought I'd share some progress pics.

The details:
Stealth 8.5x28 Cobra aluminum trailer
Large living area; 8' long couch, 45" TV (rises out of cabinet), dinette for 4 ppl.
Kitchen w/ large sink, cooktop, oven, full size frige
AC/DC electrical system; 400 Ah lithium battery, 3,000W inverter, 630W solar
12,000 btu mini-split air conditioner w/ heat pump
On-demand water heater
20' awning
Shower
Bathroom
Rear bedroom w/ twin murphy beds to make room for a Harley Davidson Ultra motorcycle
Hardwood floors, walnut countertops and custom wood cabinets

Thanks for sharing your build. I love to see and hear more details on how you attached the drinking/grey/black water tanks. Did you also insulate under the tanks and cover the underbelly or are they open underneath? Would love to do this myself in the future, but water tank location is my biggest unresolved issue.

The fresh and gray water tanks are 27 gal., but not very tall. They are rotomolded tanks with full length flanges on two sides used for mounting to the frame. The black tank is 19 gal. and fits in-between the frame members. I am not insulating the tanks (we don't camp in winter), but there will be an underbelly cover running the entire length of the camper. I plan to use Coroplast, corrugated plastic for that.
