internet at campsites

I find with our faraday cage cargo trailers, that trying to stream wifi into my trailer is near to impossible when at a campsite with wifi. I know there is very nice units like the wee boost in the $500 range that will enhance your wifi connection, but I was hoping for something cheaper. Anyone using/designed something cheaper and as effective

that's exactly what I have to do,,There's got to be something better but not ridiculous in price

I bought the WeBoost and it works pretty well with a low signal... three bars or more and it doesn't help much.

Amazon has some cheaper ones which may or may not work for you, they do have a good 30-day return policy though.

Starlink works the best for me ...

We also bought a we boost and it works great. After 21 months of camping in the trailer over three years we would not go without it. We do travel for 5 to 8 months at a time.

Living at an RV Park for maybe 12 years now.

WiFi is a myth unless the park has repeaters scattered throughout the Park.
Been my experience that WiFi is measured in square footage not linier distance.
I struggled with the connection for a year or 2 but when the Park Mgr. wanted to
watch a movie or play a game ... well, he was the only one getting any bars.
Using an external cell phone antenna then using your phone as a Hot Spot is
generally the best way to go.
As I have set roots and become a full-timer here I went and contacted a local
provider and have a wired connection and a bill to pay each month.
That's my experience, yours may vary. Best of luck and hope you find something
that works For YOU.

We have had usable Wifi less than a handful of times in the last 14 years. We go with a progression. Verizon Myfi, if that is not enough an external antenna, the N connector takes the cable up to the omni or directional antenna. If that is not enough, then a cell booster is added. If That is not enough, books.
The mast is a telescopic painter pole.

When we lived out at the RV campground.. we were 9 miles away from the nearest town.. A couple told us about T-mobile wifi.. you go to the store, sign up. Equipment, which is a router.. is free.. and service cost $55.00 a month.. Only a couple bad storms did we not have wifi..
Played games, watched movies and streamed TV channels..
We have since moved to a town.. still using our T-moble.. and not a problem..
worth a try... you use it for a couple months, if it doesn't work.. don't pay the next month...

As for us, we have been using it going on three years now... $55.00 a month (Unlimited wifi),, set it up automatically for the payment, it drops to $50.00..

( I do not work for T-mobile or collect any benefits advertising for them.. this is straight up.. because we know if works)
