Recommended brands for windows?

Postby getawaydriver » Wed Feb 15, 2023 2:40 pm

Getting ready to start on my 20lx8wx7h trailer. I would like a couple of 14x20 or 14x24s, an entry door window, and at least 2 larger windows for escape hatches. I want to keep the larger windows as close to 30" as possible such that only 1 frame need be cut.

I have watched nearly every video produced on installing windows in cargo trailers so I feel like I am well prepared for the installation. What is lacking however, is the discussion about which brand windows to use and which brands to stay away from. The 2 most common brands I encounter on Amazon are RecPro RV and Vintage Technologies. The prices seem good and delivery will be fast. However, reviews are mixed.
-opinions on these 2 brands?
-other recommendation?
-brands to stay away from?

Many thanks in advance for your input.

getawaydriver, Howdy;

Welcome to the forum.

I like Louvered windows, you can still open them when it's raining to keep
air circulating. Here's a link;

If you like the sliding type then try this;

Good luck with the build, we appreciate a few photos along the way, chuckle.
