Great trip and pic's Redjeep, I personally have not been to Belfort, I have a friend who rides quads up there and I believe he said he has to or did come in from the Nevada side even though it's due east of the 395/108 junction at the Cal Trans station.

Maybe you can educate me on how to get there, he did say the last bit of the road is nothing more than a goat trail, so if you got your jeep and tear up there it may not be as bad as he made it sound.....or am I dreaming

It is reachable from the Western side or Eastern side. The trail from the east is less difficult. Google maps terrain view clearly shows trail forest route 198 (Staked 32198) that leads to Wheeler peak. Belfort is below wheeler peak. Mike
