RB Winter in the summer

Postby Sam I am » Mon Jul 21, 2008 9:10 pm

My wife, Sonnia, and I took a one day mini vacation with the tear last Friday to RB Winter State Park, on route 192 in Union County, PA. The park is just 28 miles from our home. We towed with our Sebring convertible (4 cyl.) with the top down - great fun!
Here is the tear and the car in our space. It's a beautiful campground, and our space had a small stream running behind it.

Here is the tear all set up.

Sonnia washing dishes. She made the curtain below the galley counter. We use an apple theme, so we call the tear "The Road Apple"!

This guy came right up to us and we fed him some cashews. He loved them!

And here I am standing in Halfway Lake. Route 192 runs only from Centre Hall, our home, to Lewisburg (about 46 miles). The park is just past the midpoint, so it always had the name "Halfway".

We had fun and it was a quick and cheap outing! We had several folks look at the tear and give us some nice compliments. We'll be back!

Yeah, that water is always cold, even on the hottest summer days! It wasn't bad where I was standing, but the next day I went out to about four feet deep, and it was brutal! But it did cool us off!
