How come I never heard of this before...I'm a car freak and lived in Indiana for 16 years (1984-2000) albeit 2 miles from the MI state line (Go Notre Dame) and Rob your photos are great....in fact one of them would look good on the cover of my book of Meditations on St. Luke's Gospel.....any chance I could use it? :worship: It's the one with the steps....

Philip,

The hill climb is run by the local lions club.
Good ole boys.
I don't say that in a bad way, just that they do things their own small town way.
Were they to actually do some real advertising, they might well be over run!

Thank you for asking, yes, you may use the "steps" photo for your book as long as it isn't a for profit venture.

PM. me if you'd like a high resolution copy.

Rob

Rob' every time You give us one of your great pictorials and end it by mentioning how far you have to go to enjoy it I am reminded of just how luck I am to live right here in the middle of a scene just like you have described. Thank you again for guiding me to a great group of people who know how to enjoy life!

CF&F,

Thanks for the comments!

Since I'm also far away (on the other side) Finland looks like a pretty nice place to go camping too!

The boat ride there might make me wish I'd stayed home though...a sea captian I am not! :?

Mr Bubba himself was there.
Jim is actually there every year, as it is his show, and clout that makes the trailer park possible.

Suzie, Jim's long time employee, and her husband were there with one of Jim's creations.
I understand though, that Jim is getting out of the teardrop business...
Dan and Laura, here on the board, bought most of the remaining stock.

There were several other tears there.
Sure wish you could make it over some time, you would really enjoy the carnival and old cars and camping!

Next one is October 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, though I and several others go on Thursday or even Wednesday to stretch out the fun.

Rob,
Thanks so much for sharing this. All-around fun story and pictures. Nice to see your recommendation for Turkey Run State Park. We will be driving through that area in May and might plan our trip for a stay there.
