Spring vacation!

We decided to try the Walmart campground in Placerville one night while driving between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe last week. It snowed on us in Yosemite, and in Placerville it got up to 70 degrees and sunny before we left the parking lot. The Northern California Lost Coast was beautiful and the weather was perfect! A great 8 day Spring Vacation trip!

Yeah. I set up my "emergency quick-up anti-rain" side cover because it looked like it was going to rain on us in the middle of the night. We use the side cover for our porta-potti and Olga's dressing privacy. Before setting up, I went in and asked if it was OK. The night manager said that "officially, its against the rules to camp over night. But, unofficially, go for it." So we did. The only problem we had was a couple of persistent pan handlers. We did go inside Walmart and spent some money on supplies....

That would be Russ & Rita and their 15' Bigfoot TTT. They've been traveling with Olga & I for many years. They have gone to several teardrop gatherings with us as well. They are already signed up for the IRG 3.0 at Pamplin Grove.
