We wanted to get out last weekend and do a "shake down" trip with the Airstream and new truck, so we decided to visit Perdernales Falls State Park.

Very nice park with great views of the falls even though the water flow was low due to lack of rain recently.

There are nice areas on the river below the falls for swimming and wading, but we decided to skip those activites due to the weather.

The campgrounds are nice in the typical Texas State Park fashion with water and electric hookups, and nice restrooms/baths, but it is a smaller campground with only 69 developed camp sites.

Another interesting thing they have there if you're into bird watching is a bird watching blind with a highly developed bird feeding area. We enjoyed the bird watching area, the sights, and it's a great place for bike riding.

The new truck pulls the Airstream just fine, but I have a long list of things to do to the trailer.

Beautiful Pictures!!

We're looking forward to taking the T@B out over MLK weekend. It's been under it's cover since early November. Waay too long.

We finished the "Holiday undecorating" of the house this weekend, so next weekend I get to bring the T@B home and dewinterize her and clean her up for the trip. Can't wait!!

How big is that Airstream? 22ft? or 25ft? How much does it weigh?

Rocky,

It's an oldie, a '75 23'. It still needs lots of work, but mostly just little things. I've not weighed it, but the book says about 3500 pounds. The newer ones have much better cabinetry in them, but are quite a bit heavier.

Jack,

The new truck is still doing good...I like it. It pulls, rides, and drives better than the Dodge that I had and gets a little better gas mileage doing it.
