Second trip to France

Hi all
I have not posted for a while but I often look in on those who are curently building.
Truth is I have just been enjoying my tear. I have racked up 3000miles this year. We returned to France this August to get some sun and some wine.
Remember UK is an island and we first need to get over the water. I got this guy to lend me his boat for a day.
I guess its difficult to stay away from Paris, quick trip to the odd art gallery and generally soak up the atmosphere.
We were invited to stay at this little place in the country, but if you have a tear to go back to nothing else will do
Remember Monet and all the pictures of Lilly’s well there is a pond and its just as good as the paintings. Met a whole lot or Yanks here, a whole lot, must be on the things to see before I die because most looked like they would soon.
The best bit of France is still the food. Please could you leave McDonalds on your side of the pond because food like this is on the decline.
For the petrol heads out there this monument is in the middle of Le Mans and is dedicated to Derek Bell. Who won the Le Mans 24hr 5 times I think.
I think my wife just likes playing at house. That’s my dinner in the pot by the way. It was a very strange dried sausage with shallots, tomatoes and wine.
And finally the photo you actually want to see, the rig. 1500 miles round trip averaged 30mpg(uk) that’s 25mpg(us). And scrubbed the tires on the TD but that’s for a post on the general page.
I have said this before but its worth repeating it. Thanks; for without this Forum I would not have the best way of getting about yet invented.
