Redwoods!

Postby Gerdo » Sun Apr 26, 2009 9:15 pm

I'm sitting at my computer, on this forum, out of town in Tennessee. I'm here because of a job (thank god I'm working). I look up at the picture on the wall above me. It's a picture of the giant redwoods! This must be an omen. We missed the IRG last summer because of work. We have got to get there to see the trees. I hear that they are big.

Gotta go camping!

There are big, huge, large trees but these things have to be seen. Words alone cannot describe the size of them.

I was just kidding, I know they are huge. I just need to see them in person.

It'll happen.

I missed it too but it was lack of work for me, I was looking for a job and couldn't justify the trip with the gas prices as high as they were.

Next time we will be there, the Colorado crowd wasn't very well represented last time. I don't think Pam made it and I know Bruce didn't either.

They are huge, it's true. Hope you get there. We have a trip planned to Jedidiah Smith Redwood State Park in California to be in the redwoods this year. We have only been in Oregon for two years and find that a 200 mile trip can put us on the coast, in the Redwoods, deep in the Cascades or the desert. The tear has gotten quite a workout, and we love where it takes us.
