Just a few pics taken from my camping trip to Highlands Hammock. The hawk was sitting in the tree next to my camper. He kept eyeing the chicken I was cutting up. We went on a long backwoods bike ride and came across the gator in a very shallow creek. I volunteered Kelli to go save the poor turtle. She didn't like my idea.

Great pics -- looks like a blast!

Just back from walking along the C&O Canal.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

I really like the one of the gator eating the turtle, even though I am sorry for the turtle.

Thank you, it was a fun camping trip. Kelli was a trooper. This was her first time camping and she loved it. She was amazed at the amount of people who come up to the Teardrop for a tour. She told her boyfriend that she has a new project for him. I see a new Teardrop in her future. :)

Almost forgot one picture. I forgot to zip my bike pouch at the campground and Sunday morning I noticed these 2 little birds flying to my bike and into the open pouch. I left them alone since I wasn't ready to pack my bike up yet but when I did have to load it, I noticed that they had been gathering leaves and sticks to make their nest. I was touched that they felt secure enough to do that in my pouch but saddened that they didn't realize they were building their nest in a "mobile home". They didn't even care that the light stick was in their way.

My bike pouch.

Here's their "mobile home".

I need to visit this area more often. I just love the pic Becca. I also love that you showed your friend what the whole Teardrop thing is. I bet she thought you were crazy until she saw for her self.

Hi Miss Mandy :) . Yes, Kelli was amazed at how people just walked up to ask if they could look in and how easily new friends were made. A lot of them said they had seen the Teardrops on the RV show but never saw one in person. I don't mind giving tours at all. I am grateful when someone lets me visit their unusual camper.
