1st Teardrop Trip

I finally was able to take my teardrop on a camping trip. I usually go to Jameson Lake in Eastern Washington over Memorial Day with a bunch of friends. This year I got to take the tear while everybody else had their tents!

The tear worked great! The galley was a big hit with everybody. And it was great sleeping it it - especially when it was windy at night. As you can see by the pictures it's nothing but sage brush, dust and at times windy but it's a great place to spread out when you have lots of people. This year it was actually sunny every day.

Below are a few pictures - The tear got very dirty going up a 7 mile gravel/dirt road.

My dog, Spike, like it a lot. It was actually cooler in there for him.

And a picture coming back to Western Washington over Snoqualmie Pass.

And a picture of my new knobs - Bernese Mountain Dog Puppies

I can hardly wait to go again.

Mike, thanks for sharing with us another great spot in your country. We look forward to reading all the holiday posts and seeing a different part of the world. We are just packing now for another week away up on the Murray River. Beautiful dog, sometimes when people overhere see our tear and ask me what the hell is that I tell them it is a caravan for my pooch. Maybe I should print out that pic and keep it on hand.  Another thing about tears is they look great behind anything and your unit looks good. Happy camping.

Cheers Dave

Dave - Yes I think Spike thinks it for him to stay out of the sun and away from bugs.

Paul - Yes the dirt does wash off - don't mind getting it dirty. It's not pristine and if it was I'd be afraid to take it anywhere. It's made to camp in and I've found it's hard to camp with no dirt - especially with a big dog!

Nice pics, we drove out that way while we were heading over to Idaho to go rafting Memorial Day weekend.

I need to head east again soon!
