Lemay 2009 Car Show

Postby mjg444 » Tue Oct 27, 2009 11:57 pm

Here are a few pictures from the 2009 Lemay Car Show near Tacoma, WA. The teardrops get to stay overnight on the grounds. It was my first "gathering" and was a lot of fun, even though it rained. Saturday morning we set up our tears so the general public who come to the car show could check them all out. There are more pictures in my album.

My setup

My galley set up for viewing - Bernese Mountain Dog Theme.

One of my co-workers vintage bikes (it won the previous 4 years for best in show). He brought 7 or 8 bikes.

Daimler - it's about a mile long - don't remember what year it is.

There are more pictures in my album. There were 25 teardrops.

I knew I spent too much time answering questions.
Would have loved to see that Daimler.
Thanks Michelle for posting those pictures.
Hope to see you & your great Street Rod Teardrop combination next year too. :D Danny

The Dailmer was gorgeous. My pictures doesn't do it justice, it was so long and my flash on my camera couldn't reach that far!

I plan on being there next year, hopefully there won't be rain in the forecast!

According to my daughter, who has gone several times, it always rains when they are there. There is so much to see in the barns-all those antique car, trucks etc.

Jim S. shows up with his Woodie and his wooden stripper boats every year for LeMay & the Crusin Sunday in Port Orchard, WA.
He lives close by and was a Cabinetmaker for Boeing at one time.
Great guy to know. :D Danny

A few more pictures of Jim's TD. It's quite the work of art!

And a close-up of the galley.

Of course, here's the action going on at Danny's trailer. He had people coming by all day asking questions! By the way, Danny won the Camper's Choice Award. His rig will be on the dash plaque next year.

Here's our trailer. Notice no one around? Yep, they're all at Danny's or Jim's trailer asking questions and talking...
