Image These two gents were calling elk in the Saddle Hills south of woking when this big guy slipped in on the caller the Shooter spotted the bear 8 yards from the caller and dropped him with 5 shots out of his 338 Rem Mag..
> Farmers in the area new about the Bear but weren't able to track after it had killed 3 horses, 5 cows, 13 sheep and a pen full of chickens on several different homesteads in the area.
>
> Fish and wildlife had bear traps set up in the area but notice on surveillance video that when ever a he would enter his hump would hit the top of the culvert trap slowing him enough that the trap door would wack him on the head before he was all the way in check out the scar tissue on his face.....

Mag dump if he was coming at me. But at that size, 15 .40 bullets would probably just piss him off. :(

When in ( bear country) its a good idea not to sleep with food in the trailer. evan cooking in the galley can leave smells that can draw a bears attention. With that said, I have been backpacking in the north cascades for years and have not had any problems with bears. :worship:

Now see if you sit on the cow then it is self defense if you shoot the bear. Anyway you really shouldn't wipe all the bears off the map and it is not like we can send them to the Middle East... 8) :)

.410?

My shotguns are both 12 gauge, with 3-inch mag capabilities. 3-inch, 000 buckshot can darn near tear down a wall. :o 8)
