The theme of our town Christmas parade was "An old fashioned Christmas". My mom passed the end of September, and she always made a big deal of the parade, and many people would gather in her yard to drink hot cocca and watch. Living on the main drag, it went right past her house. I knew I couldn't handle gathering there this year, so it was either skip it or change it up...so I decided to enter. I won first in the misc. division! Yippee! Here are some pics...

Sorry to hear that you lost your mom. Keep your memories of her close.

Decorating your trailer was a good idea and it looked terrific! You deserved a prize for that! ....Good for the spirits, too! Congratulations!

Thanks, everyone.

Sharon, I can think my mom for my love of camping. I was born when she was 39 and my sisters were beginning their families. She bought a small Shasta when I was about 8. She later upgraded to a larger Shasta when grandkids started to join us. (my sister passed from cancer when her kids were 9 and 12) When I was married and my kids were small, she bought a new Holiday Alumalite Class C. We went all over in that for about 16, 17 years, and had a blast. When her health started to get worse we quit camping and she sold it. Last year I bought my T@B, and she was able to "day camp" with me at nearby CG's despite her cancer. I could take her home at dark. She passed at age 87, but I'm living on tons and tons of memories. I lived with her the last 3 months. She was my best friend.
