Slideshow of trip from Mass. to the IRG5.0 in California

My wife Lyn and I recently drove from Massachusetts to northern California to attend the IRG5.0 event. Afterwards she flew home from Reno and I headed to Yellowstone for several days and then on to Michigan to attend a music festival on the way home.

It was an 8,000 mile month-long northern route trip. We visited a number of state and national parks and monuments, and I think every night but two was spent in the teardrop.

If you're interested here's a link to a slideshow of the trip: http://www.jonweinberg.com/irg2014/ - press the big Slideshow button/triangle on the right to begin, and after each Yellowstone video clip resume the music by clicking on the audio play button on the top right.

Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks.

Very nice slideshow and trip.
Never knew there were so many dulcimer players.
I think we spoke briefly at the IRG about playing together.
I'm a rookie guitar player, sorry.
Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Great slide show, Jon. Thanks! We have stayed in about six of those campgrounds including Rock Creek in Iowa. It was a pleasure meeting you at the IRG.

:applause: Fabulous pictures, and thanks for plotting it out so we could follow along on the map. The diversity of landscapes, and skyscapes is really something when you put them all together like this slideshow. We want to say thanks again for playing your wonderful music at the IRG, doing the Thermal Cooker demo, and for making the long haul out here. For those who may not know...Jon & Lyn took home the award for IRG Longest Haul, and as you can see by their journey, they certainly deserved it! :pictures:

Thank you! TDN & Fogcrawler Also, what music is playing on your slideshow?

Hi Dean - the music is Dawg's Rag by the Dave Grisman Quintet from the 1980 album of the same name. I'm not sure that album is available digitally - It's one of my favorites so I digitized it myself from the original vinyl album I still have.

Glad you liked it...
