I had a bead-head pheasant tail dropper off a (dry) black foam beetle. He took the dropper.
I had a ninteen inch brown hanging in a riffle and I flicked my beetle above it. A good cast and it was lined up for the delivery. The fish eased up, opened it's mouth to take the beetle –just as the dropper hung on a rock, stopped the dry and of course the brownie boogied. Classic.
