Grand Tetons and more part 2

We got up early and headed into Yellowstone and got lucky and got a camp spot at Grant campground. We unhooked the Trailer and drove up to Old Faithful, waited about an hour and she blew!! then we came back and Kayaked in "the Thumb" of Yellowstone lake, The ranger told us to stay close to shore as weather could change quick! and it did we were at the south end and all of the sudden the waves started rocking the kayaks pretty hard! It was quite a chore to get back to the Launch!

We were thinking of staying another night, but the rains started to come, so we packed up and drove through the Park to the North Entrance and hit I-90 at Livingston, We stopped at Yellowstone falls, Hayden Valley, Tower Roosevelt and Camp Albrecht/mammoth springs. Was quite a long run down hill after Mt Washburn.... was wishing we had trailer brakes!!

We drove a long day from Livingston over the Rockies to Missoula Montana, then we headed about 50 miles north to Polson, on Flat head Lake. and spent 2 days there, a storm come in and we got pretty soaked out on the kayaks....

We left Polson and headed up to Kalispel and drove back toward home on US highway 2... Lots of trees in Northern Montana.... Lots of wheat fields in Eastern Washington! we stopped by for a quick look at Grand Coulee Dam, and ended up spending the night in Coulee City Park on Banks Lake, was probably the hottest place we had been and the best kayaking, nice calm water! lots of Cliffs

We got back from kayaking, and realized we were less then 4 hours from home, so we packed up the trailer and was home by 7pm!
What a trip!!
Thanks for looking!
