Weekend Getaway

Took a long weekend and visited my hometown - Carlsbad NM.
First night stayed at Lake Avalon (Just north of Carlsbad).

Spent Saturday in the desert and camped at a BLM campsite (32.204698, -104.334665) just south of Carlsbad.

Road to the Caverns (I have been several times and didn't go down this trip).

In the center of the picture you can see green in the desert -- that is Rattlesnake Springs NM. (from the caverns parking lot)

Supper with my sister and her family (I am at the top of the picture with no hat).

It was great to get out of town again - the trailer is getting more comfortable with every use!

I dug up your build thread, man - I'm so sorry for your loss but the last pic here looks like you got a good bunch around. Thanks for posting - I LOVE seeing T&TTT's in the wild!

Thanks shootr, Thanks for the kind words -- I don't do as well in a campground full of RVs and trailers as I do off the beaten path. I am looking for a small pickup or Jeep to get off road a little more. The HHR isn't made to go off paved roads (I think it has about 6 in of clearance). I did have a good trip - nothing like good food and family to make you appreciate the time we have here in this realm.
