6 Quart Lodge for $30 Shipped (Deal has Ended) ***

Postby 8 » Sat Nov 07, 2009 10:27 pm

I have not been on here in a while but I saw this and had to post it. Dealnews listed a BSA edition Lodge 6 quart CI DO for under $30 shipped 4.5 hours ago. It's actually through Amazon.

Cool. Did you happen to notice the estimated ship date? You might not even get it this year. My wife just ordered one and it's going to ship as late as Dec. 28th. That's right. December, not November.

But, she was also given an option to get a credit card and get $30 off. That would make the total cost only 46 cents shipped. She already has the credit card so cannot do it again. I might have to get my own credit card and order a second one.

thanks for the heads up. It does say 5-7 weeks for shipping but I would bet it won't take that long. I will post when mine arrives.

I snooze. I lose.

I guess I'll only get one. The deal ended while I was browsing around the site. It's back up to $90.

When I placed my order, it said nothing about a 5 to 7 week wait for shipment. My order confirmation says shipping will occur on November 12. Shipping was free and the Amazon Price was $29.54.

Hold it..... I just looked at my email and have a Fedex shipment confirmation number already. Estimated delivery date is November 12.

If this all finally "pans" out....what a deal! Amazon is showing the same item from the same supplier this morning at $89.99

Mine did! That was for the free super saver shipping.

It doesen't much matter up this far north. Won't need it until next spring anyway when the camping season starts again. I am just glad the leaves are done falling.
:applause:

Thanks again 8

I guess it would have been a 46 cent CREDIT if I had got the credit card. That makes more sense. $29.54 + $0.46 = $30 credit for getting a credit card.

I did go buy a cornbread pan at Old Time Pottery this afternoon. They have half an aisle of Lodge cast iron, but the largest camping style dutch oven is 6 quarts. The non-seasoned rang up $8.20 but was marked $9.99. The pre-seasoned was marked $19.99. Can you guess which one I bought? It's seasoning in the oven right now.

Maybe I'll get the credit card and apply it towards a different pot. The card is through Chase. They don't like it when you get the card just to get the deal and then never use the card. They closed one I did that with through Buy.com. It doesn't hurt to try except for an ever so slight hit on your credit score for applying for new credit. They didn't actually close it. They just didn't mail me a new one when it expired. When I asked why, they just stated they could not renew it. I actually got that non-answer in writing from them.

Thanks 8!
I saw your post and jumped on it. I have never ordered from Amazon but it was painless; I selected the free shipping and the total was 29.54.

The ship time said 5-7 days and it just landed. Even came with a recipe book.

Sweet looking pot. I have a lot of cast iron skillets, a pizza oven a couple of home type DOs but not one with legs.

I was a boy scout (100 years ago, when it was still OK for the scoutmaster to be drunk) so I figured I was qualified.

So, again THANKS!
