I have a LeCreuset enameled DO for going on 25 years. It is all stained and chipped from use. The edge of the pot and the edge of the lid are where chips happen. The exposed cast iron rusts. The superficial stains are from burned on stuff that scrubbed off but left its mark. It's just a big soup pot, and sometimes a casserole pot.
The outside is stained too...from burned on oil or grease. The stain does not come off.
Your find is a really nice set. Gotta be worth a whole lot more unused than used...on Ebay.
