I have no idea of the quality of this oven. It's in the winter catalog, page 79.

No expert here but my understanding is those cheap oven work fine if you actually go and check them out yourself and make sure there are no cracks and the lid fits tight. The fit of the lid seems to be the biggest thing.

I have one and use it quite often. The fit of the lid is quite good. However, before seasoning it, I heated it to about 100 degrees first to get the waxy coating off. I could not scrub it off easily, so that’s why I heated it. After it melts, take a towel and clean the residue off then season as normal. BTW, I cut the legs off mine since I also like to use it on stoves. I got mine on sale last year for $9.00

I have one too. Its not the best, but I don't use it for the best either.

For a load of baked potatos at a gathering though its great.

I paid about $9 for mine too...couldn't pass it up.

Heck, its worth about $6 in scrap.

Happy Trails

I have two of them. Like others have said, check these things for lid fit before you buy. And plan on several hours cleaning grease, wax, and oil of uncertain origin out of it before you use it. They do work, but if you have the money buy Lodge or get an oldie from a g-sale.

BTW - these are mostly loaners.
