Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

Today I went to a few estate sales and the pickings were pretty slim. However, I did buy an old iron skillet and was wondering how to find out about it.
It's 10 or 11 inches across and is deep with a squared off bottom, not rounded edges. On the bottom is stamped WAGNER WARE, under that is the word SIDNEY and under that is -O-, down further is the number 1059.
It's really a fine old skillet, nicely seasoned, and worth the $10 to me that I paid for it. I plan on using it, don't care if it's collectable, just wondering about it's provenance.

I just checked my Wagner book.
From what I can figure based on your description, It's a #9 regular skillet circa 1924 - 1935. Value is around $35.00. Could you post a couple pics of it?

My wife bought one when she moved out of the house in the mid to late '70. It's made breakfast for years at our house and is a member of the family now.

We bought a Lodge to take camping. If someone steals it, oh well. If someone took the Wagner, I'd cry.

I love the Wagner Sydney-O iron. I have several pieces. I find the casting are very smooth. My favorite piece is my square skillet.

I purchased one similar to that this weekend but my # is 1088L I'm not sure what that means.

p.s. it also has the #8 on the handle

The 1088 is a deep skillet(Chicken Fryer) I don't have a listing for 1088L but a 1088A is circa 1940's and valued around $35 and if you had the cover, that's valued at $45

Yesterday, while at another garage sale, I found a brand new, still in the wrapper, Wagner Ware cast iron corn cake pan. Model #1319, I don't think it's that old, but it's unused. It says Wagner Ware on the bottom along with the letter 'D'. Time for corn cakes,....yummmmm!
