The stuff that they use to keep it from rusting in the box is kinda waxy - you can try scrubbing the H3ll out of it - but what I found is to heat it to about 175 and it will start to melt - then take a clean cotton towel or a bunch of paper towels and it will wick that stuff out - repeat the cycles until the clothes come out clean. Once warmed the waxy compound will turn to a liquid - the cotton and paper towel will even wick it out of the pores - then do what i call a burn out - Turn the pieces over and raise the temp to about 250 for about 20 minutes , any leftover residue should come out - now your ready to season em"
